Brown Family Relief Fund
Around midnight on the 2nd. of March, my brother and his wife of 50 years, narrowly escaped death when their home burst into flames. They lost everything they had, except literally, the clothes on their backs. Health-wise they are in good shape but in their mid 70's, naturally, they're not as spry as they once were. Spiritually they are strong and have faith that God will see them through this ordeal along with the love and support of family and friends.

Their mortgage had been paid off for some number of years but they were unable to find another carrier to insure their home. With the lack of insurance coverage you can imagine just how dire their situation is.

Billy served our Country in the Navy during the Korean War. In civilian life he worked in law enforcement in Springville, Pell City and after 20 years, retired as Chief of Police in Odenville. (All in St. Clair County, Alabama). Wilma worked for the U.S. Postal Service at Margarett, AL. She was forced to retire last year, due to health reasons, with NO Pension. USPS had kept her on "Part-Time" status for 24 years, even though she worked full time and more. (Imagine that.)

Both Billy and Wilma have worked as Public Servants the majority of their adult lives and have virtually nothing, now, to show for it except their memories and the gratitude of the people that have had the good fortune to know them. Sadly, this sort of thing happens to good people every day, but this time it's personal. This is my "Big-Brother" and ever since my Dad died, when I was 10 yrs. old, for the rest of my childhood, Billy was like a Fill-in-Dad to me as well as being a caring brother and I love him, and Wilma deeply.

I'm asking that you, Please, find it in your heart to give what you can. Any linens, kitchen utensils, canned goods, towels, etc. that you could donate would be greatly appreciated. Of course, you know, anyone in this position always needs money. They are hoping to be able to purchase a used pre-manufactured home to set up on their land.

Merle Dollar and Garry Burttram, owners of the Local Color Cafe in Springville, have graciously offered their establishment to be a drop-off point for anyone that would like to box their donations and label them "Brown Family Relief Fund". They are located at 5811 U.S. Hwy. 11, Springville, AL 35146 (right across from Burton's Grocery) Ph. 205.467.0334. If you live farther away you can ship your care package to the preceding address.

If donating money, make checks or money orders payable to: R. W. Brown, 3670 Co. Rd. 12, Odenville, AL. 35120, or just Click on the "Donate" button below to give through PayPal, securely. Check cards and all major credit cards accepted. (NO PayPal Account is necessary.)

P.S. The American Red Cross was on the scene within an hour and a half from the time of the 911 call with an emergency cash voucher and warm clothing. What a wonderful organization!

Singer/Songwriter/Keyboardist/Composer/Producer
Louie Blue wears many hats. The first of which he donned in the sixties when he began his musical journey through life as a bassist, traveling extensively across the continental United States and Mexico. Experimenting with trumpet, saxophone, percussion and keyboards through the years, finally led him to committing to the keyboards which he now uses to translate what he hears in his heart to the world at large. The latest hat Louie Blue has adorned is one of deep humility and gratitude for the love and support of his family, friends and fans. "I owe them everything!"
Out of the Blue, is a compilation of Louie Blue's experiences and observations involving relationships among people throughout his life. From the shock of rejection portrayed in the title cut Out of the Blue to the whimsical Something to Say to the gut-wrenching agony of I Cry for You, Louie Blue allows the listener to take a an intimate look into his very soul.

"I am dedicating this CD to a lost friend, Robert Stone (Robo) Batson 1949 - 2004. He's My Brother, is a light-hearted tribute to his life and is presented in the third track."
